Synopsis: When filmmaker Bonita Evans sets out to document acting legend Magenta Bergenstein, she stumbles upon the formation of the counterculture performance art group the Red Bone Guerillas. What results is an inside look at the RBG's meteoric rise to prominence as they rage against the mainstream media machine. At first, their “interventionist” street theater shocks the unsuspecting public. But when they are embraced by anonymous fans and the media alike, will they be co-opted by the monster they once vowed to destroy? The RBGs survive internal tension, navigate the pitfalls of fame, AND successfully intervene in the surreal world of daytime talk shows. But their story reminds us that revolution, no matter how much fun, is not without risk. You've never seen a film like this. Part documentary, part soap opera, part tragicomedy, RED BONE GUERILLAS stretches the conventions of filmmaking to explore social disobedience, group dynamics, and performance art.
