So we heard about this contest a few days before it closed. The award was substantial and the eligibility was for short-format digital work under 4 minutes. At the time we were transforming a series of shorts into a feature-length piece called 6 Stops or Less. We decided to shoot one of the scenes that fit the time constraints of the contest, edit it fast, and enter it.

MTA's employees are nicer than you might think...

The shoot was meticulously storyboarded, and we finished in one morning. In the process, we learned the logistics of shooting on the train, and also changed the feature's lead character from male to female based on the performance given by Sydnee Stewart.

We didn't get it in on time for the contest, but were left with a jewel on our hands.
