Liza Jessie Peterson is a well-known performance poet, actress, and friend of exittheapple. The piece is a righteous rant against being called out by lecherous men on the street and has been performed around the world to the delight and catharsis of women everywhere. "hey-hey-hey, slim...”We did this piece under the auspices of dot-com content provider UBO, for a poetry series produced by Tish Benson. For the first time I was JUST the director, and not the "director slash" ...You know like director/actor or director/cameraman or director/crafts services. We had a camera person, a producer, great talent and a writer and all I had to do was direct. It was beautiful. I don't like using color unless I have complete control over it and I loved the use of color in this piece. I feel like it adds a needed dimension of sweetness and intensity to the look of this project. |
