comic mockumentary about art, revolution… and talk
shows. exittheapple's first feature examines the question:
in our media-saturated culture, what would revolution
look like? 98 minutes.
- 8 Shorts Make A Feature – The
first ten years of exittheapple films. Features award-winning
short films KaKuMei, Damn, and Negative Images. 50 minutes.
Workshops:
- HIPHOP THROUGH HISTORY a lecture-demonstration featuring
a live DJ. Brings historical context to the cultural phenomenon
of HipHop by linking it with African-American musical
history throughout the centuries. Special focus on the
transition from underground cultural movement to worldwide
phenomenon.
- WRITERS’ BLOCK writing and performance workshop.
This workshop focuses on tools that enable the student
to maintain a writing practice and make the words live
on and off the page. Writing exercises and performance
tools combine to increase comfort on stage and ease of
expression with the written word. Available as 2-session
or 5-session course; the 5-session course culminates in
live performance.
- BARE SOLES movement workshop. Accessible and fun, BARE
SOLES movement workshops encourage freedom and expression
through movement using deep muscle stretch, breath work,
and the joyful power of play. Dancer/Instructor Jamyla
Bennu brings together elements from Dunham modern dance
technique, yoga, social/freestyle dance patterns, and
the unrestricted joy of childhood movement to promote
an attitude-free dance experience that offers something
for every level.

- The Free ART Movement – Not your average book
party, the Free Art Movement is a community-building gathering
for artists, art lovers, and creative people everywhere.
The evening is centered around an art exchange, book signing,
and party; admission is one piece of your own creative
